Euc Shower!
March 10th, 2009
My sweet friends at church threw Anna Kate the sweetest little shower this weekend!
While I was getting ready for the shower, Noelle was feeding her baby rice and apple juice. She is becoming quite maternal!
Noelle is really digging Anna Kate’s cake!
Noelle’s favorite thing to do is lure cats out from under couches. Jennifer’s cat’s name is Lilly.
My buddies Stephanie and Emily.
Jen and Jennifer showing Noelle a fantastic time!
We went to church game night afterward. Noelle had the time of her life and didn’t want to leave. We put Anna Kate’s car seat in the car Friday so that Noelle could get used to having it next to her. Every little change that has come thus far, Noelle has taken with love and kindness. She reached into Anna Kate’s car seat and said, "This is how I’m going to hold her hand." Just precious! Our first little baby girl is turning into quite the big sister! We’re so proud of our little Noelle!
Mops Small Group Shower!
March 8th, 2009
My friend, Lindsay (Sam & Jillian’s Mom), made purses for Noelle, Anna Kate, and me. Aren’t they amazing!!! Noelle really wanted to try on a onesie for Anna Kate!
The girls were so sweet to give us such special baby gifts!
Stacy had this fun game for us to play. She melted different chocolate bars on 4 diapers and had them each numbered. We had to smell and write down our guess as to what kind they were. I actually won this game (I know my chocolate) – they were Hershey’s milk chocolate, Heath, Snickers, and Krunch Bars. Noelle was fascinated by this game and actually took a bite of one of the melted pieces of chocolate – silly girl!
Stacy and Michelle made these fondant cupcakes from scratch!
"Who’s your Momma?" Stacy and Noelle’s blonde hair and blue eyes sure do look cute together, but those cheeks are a dead give-away!
Stacy’s little boy, Aiden, and Noelle
Thanks girls for such a sweet shower! I feel so special and honored!
Today’s Date is 3-6-9!
March 6th, 2009
Wouldn’t that be a fun little odd birth date? Every day that passes, I come up with some reason that string of numbers would be cool for a birth date… ahh, still waiting!
Kill-joy!
March 5th, 2009
Noelle LOVES Cinderella! This is her favorite princess video on youtube. She knows all the words and says them with the lady in the intro and then sings along with Cinderella. The funniest thing she has memorized is when Cinderella says under her breath, "what a kill-joy" to the clock about half-way through the video. Noelle now says, "what a kill-joy" in the context of everyday things and thinks she’s so clever!
Funny Noelle
March 4th, 2009
Noelle on clothes: "These are my favorite because they look cute on my skin."
Noelle on God: "If God is in my heart, then I should probably go to the doctor."
Noelle on her cool Mommy: "You’re my Mommy of the whole best world!"
Pond Palindrome Time!
March 3rd, 2009
A palindrome is a word, line, or number that reads the same backwards and forwards. An example of a word is Madam. An example of a number is Noelle’s birthday, 5-05.
Well, Mike thinks it would be cool if all of our kids had palindrome birthday dates. The ones for March are 3-03 (tomorrow), 3-13 (Mom’s b-day next week), and our due date, 3-23. Now the likelihood of Anna Kate being born on one of these three days is very slim, we are having fun playing with numbers!
And I do have an update: Last Thursday, we had a sonogram to check on Anna Kate. Her head is down (and will most likely stay that way), she is exactly 6 lbs. and is 18 1/2 inches long. Of course, these are estimates, but if she gains 1/2 pound a week, she will weigh exactly what Noelle weighed and will be about the same length as well. It’s so cool we have a little bit of an idea what to expect.
I’m hoping the doctor will schedule a date this week in case we have to induce. Having a day in our mind to look forward to will be so nice. We are ready to meet Anna Kate!
