Taylor Swift’s 1989 World Tour Dallas Concert
December 1st, 2015
We had such a great time at the Taylor Swift concert on October 17th!
We were first in line at our entrance with the “proper fans.” I think we got there at 2:00PM.
Meeting Jordan and Laurel was icing on the cake. These two cuties had no idea how exciting their night was going to get!
Waiting in line at the Taylor Nation booth!
Jordan and Noelle showing off their art. Jordan drew this picture of Taylor and later that night, Taylor Swift herself signed it and said, “Did you draw this?! Wow, it actually looks like me. Your shading is exemplary.” Go Jordan! What a dream come true!
Here we are waiting in line with lots of friends we met on Tumblr! Cardboard Olivia couldn’t have been cuter! ![]()
Meredith did not disappoint, although meeting the real Meredith would have been much more dramatic, I’m sure!
We had fun at the Taylor Nation booth holding up bandaged thumbs with the number 13 on them. That’s Taylor’s lucky number, and it was my Uncle Joe’s as well, so I know it’s a good lucky number to have!
Finally got to our seats with all our glow-in-the-dark get-up ready for concert time! You can still see one of the bracelets taped onto one of our chairs they gave to every audience member. These bracelets glowed in the dark and changed colors and beats to the music of each song. The audience was making the coolest patterns, colors, rhythms and beats all night with the bracelets they gave us. That was really cool to watch and be a part of!
Getting to see Victoria and Noel, who were both at our wedding as kids almost 13 years ago, was so special! And we told the girls that we are having a baby tonight, which was such a fun memory!
Noelle made this sign for Taylor’s mom all by herself. When I was putting the lights on our shirts one night getting ready for the concert, she asked if she could make something for Mrs. Swift. After we gave it to Kevin, who is one of Taylor’s top employees and friends, he promised to give it to Mama Swift and Noelle started crying. I asked her why she was crying and she said, “Because I’m just so happy. I hope it makes her feel a little better.” She’s the sweetest sweetheart there is. I’m sad Noelle didn’t get to tell her in person, as she was there and visited with several of our friends, but it just wasn’t in the cards this time.
Last but not least, we ran into Missy at the end of the night! And while we were busy catching up with her, our friends Jordan and Laurel made it into Loft ‘89! They told Taylor’s dad, Scott, about our family, which was so so sweet and kept looking for us to walk in. Although we didn’t get to meet Taylor, we had so much fun hanging out on Tumblr, meeting her biggest fans, and giving it our best shot! All of our Loft dreams aside, the concert was amazing and the anticipation and hanging out all day was the best! Until next time!
