Magical Dress-up!
April 16th, 2014
Nothing was going on this day, except for imaginations at play! I was busy working when Anna Kate and Rose came downstairs in Belle dresses! After singing and dancing, they had a little coronation ceremony for Rose and acted out several scenes from Frozen together!
Their little impromptu dress-up turned into doctor and Rose’s pretend CPR on her baby was cracking Anna Kate up!
Rose arrives on the scene at Mrs. Paula’s!

And she’s off… sliding into a world of imagination, learning, and most of all, FUN!
Mrs. Paula called me to tell me this morning that Rose was absolutely sure she found an alligator in the creek! ![]()
First signs of a healthy garden!
Rose got to help make zucchini muffins this day; how exciting!
Recycling and learning all in one colorful bundle!
You can do it, Rose! ![]()
I want to go to snack time at Mrs. Paula’s!
Sorting – check! Colors – check! Counting – check! Hooray!
*As always, Mrs. Paula’s posts are her pictures that she so graciously shares with us. We are so grateful to be a part of our kiddos pre-school fun and hope it inspires you as much as it does us!
A Special Day!
April 14th, 2014
We were beyond excited Aunt Jojo and Uncle Jim came to see us last week! They’ve been traveling non-stop but had to see the Sorolla exhibit as a special artists’ artist treat, and of course, our babies too!
A new experience for our world-renowned artists: the self-serve yogurt experience!!! Aunt Joe said it was, “Pretty wonderful!”
My Annas!
Tonight was filled with a joy that only feelings can describe! And I’m so thrilled to post our pictures from this special time together on Uncle Jim’s birthday, which is today, April 14th (not April 1st), lol! Happy Birthday, Uncle Jim! I have enjoyed your infectious laugh and super big hugs from the day I was your flower girl oh so many years ago! XOXO
YOLO
April 13th, 2014
We’ve been here, there and everywhere the past few weeks it seems. Here are some of the moments I captured on my phone!
Lots of games at home, our doll Julie headed to the hospital in our tea cart turned stretcher and photo-op with our fav cow!
Designing and dance… definitely activities we LOVE around here!
Noelle found this project online and created it one Saturday with Anna Kate. Her little star-studded flashlight box looked awesome in the dark!
Noelle’s newest creation she taught me how to do!
Dress-up
Make-up
If Noelle could design a cast for Rara, it would look like this! (Noelle’s been rocking it at school; we are so proud of her hard work!)
Eyeshadow!
Anna Kate cleaning her room her way, and unicorn winning the grand prize at our Mommy and Me Monday carnival: a seat in the coveted doll chair and a pretend bottle of perfume! Congrats unicorn!
Shoe date looking for Easter shoes and Rose and Hudson cracking each other up!
Awesome night at CFA with Mrs. Peggy and Devon!
Anna Kate happily waving to people in the drive-thru; so sweet!
Musical chairs
Our Lego back yard!
Sometimes ya just need to wear a good ol pair of nerd glasses! ![]()
Blog Probz!
April 12th, 2014
The blog has been down this week, but I haven’t! Way too many posts headed your way!
Moseying through March (with Monarchs)
April 12th, 2014
Mrs. Paula took her students to a very special exhibit called Butterflies in the Garden at the Botanic Garden in March! Her pictures make my heart flutter!
Aren’t these pictures awesome! I’ll treasure them always!
Lots of learning and experimenting!
Learning all about cocoons and the life cycle of the butterfly. My sweet shy (at first) middle with a very caring exhibit hostess.
Love the pre-school eyeball poke! Boys are so cool, lol!
Anna Kate spots a statue she’s into…
Running up for a hug! Aww, sweet girl and the moments Mrs. Paula captures for us!
“I Spy” letters and numbers with flashlights! Anna Kate is to the far left with the longest light tale. I can see her enthusiasm and she couldn’t stop talking about how much fun this game was with her friends at school! Next, on to one of the many favorite activities Anna Kate looks forward to at Mrs. Paula’s: getting to make her very own birthday cupcakes at school! She loves it!
Happy 5th birthday, Anna Kate! You are so loved at school and at home and everywhere your bright sunshiny spirit goes!
Garden pic from Mrs. Paula’s garden of goodness and a wonderful lesson Anna Kate loved! She said, “You HAVE to post this picture on the blog! These books were so alike and so different…” and went on to tell me what happened in both stories! I’m so excited for Rose is starting her adventures with Mrs.Paula and Mrs. Julie (her right hand) but am getting super sentimental I won’t be receiving these amazing pictures of Anna Kate’s happy days next year! Kids, why do they have to grow up!?!
*As always, these are Mrs. Paula’s pic that she so graciously shares with all of us!
