Have a happy day, Brylee!!!
January 21st, 2013
With Brylee’s Mommy’s permission, I wanted to share a special prayer request with you. Brylee has had trouble hearing for quite a while now. She had surgery to hopefully fix that once and for all last Friday. Please keep her precious little body in your prayers!
The day before the surgery, we took her a mini-pillow pet, Old Maid, and a homemade card from Noelle. After I explained why Brylee needed a card, I told her she should put, “Get well soon!” on it. She looked at me and said, “Oh no, Mom! I would never want to remind her that she is sick!” I never thought of it that way. I then told her to write what she felt, and she wrote, “Have a happy day, Brylee!!!” Kids are so cool!
We love you, Brylee and hope and pray for all your days to be happy!
Heart-felt Breakfast in Bed!
January 15th, 2013
Last weekend went something like this… Rara came to help (thank you so much!) because I had a back procedure on Friday that I was put to sleep for, and it was difficult. My back pain felt better as expected during the day on Friday and then the everything came back with a vengeance on Saturday, which brings us to this picture. The girls worked all morning getting all dressed up in rompers, headbands, jewelry and make-up so they could deliver me their homemade breakfast in style. It made me feel so special that they were thinking about me all morning while I was resting and couldn’t wait to bring me their heart-felt surprise!
Girls, if you read this down the road, thank you for giving me grace, and uplifting my spirits when I feel awful. You’re so compassionate towards others who are hurting, which I think has started at home by you being gracious to your mom when things aren’t always smiles and giggles. You guys are the real deal, the whole package, and I pray every day your gentle hearts will be protected and taken good care of when the storms in life hit. I’ll do my best to help you out in every way that I can, even if it’s just to be there. I’m always here for you, and I love that you act out the true meaning of family! Thanks for showing me your kindness and love! It shines through your little lives in a big way! I love you with all of my heart!!!

Anna Kate and Malia had so much fun at art class last week! Susie and I had a special girl day with our little artists! The pictures below speak for themselves and are so beautiful to me!
They did too many projects to list, but my favorite one was a family picture they made of us out of penguin handprints. I’ll have to take a picture of that and post it soon. These girls totally melt my heart. Before we moved into our new house, we prayed for the girls to have good friends on our street… it was such an important prayer for me, and it has come true ten-fold! They care about each other in a super deep way that reflects in the way they treat each other and get along. You can definitely tell they’ve got each others’ backs. I’m so happy these girls are friends, but I’m even happier that they are Susie and my friends too! 🙂
Rainy day indoor play date!
January 10th, 2013
The play land was closed for cleaning when we first arrived to play. I asked if the girls minded waiting, but they were already pretending to throw the rocks that were on the ground (see them painted in the carpet). Lol, Anna Kate has a huge imagination, and Madison thought it was funny! Rose was in her own little world but having a good time, so we were all good!
This boat is a favorite hang out spot in the play land… they were watching for sharks when I took this picture, ha!
Madison and Anna Kate are such sweet little friends and play together so well! Can’t wait to play again soon!

I think Noelle and Anna Kate had sleepovers every night over the holidays. Noelle’s not just joking with the sleeping mask… baby girl wears them all night. She’s such a little diva! Anna Kate will wear one to appease Noelle, but it always comes off super fast, lol! One day during the break, I gave the girls “spa pedicures.” Mike was their host and brought them Sprite (a treat for the girls) while I massaged their feet, filed, and painted their nails. We had fun playing pretend the whole time we were doing nails. I didn’t want our days just to pass us by with endless chores. I wanted to do one thing with each girl that was intentional each day. I tried my best, and we had fun along the way… I’m really sad they go back to school tomorrow!
