Several weeks ago Anna Kate and some of her classmates got to go on a field trip to the stock show.  Now she has added “farmer” to things she wants to be when she grows up… she says it’s 7th on her list, lol!  Enjoy the pictures her sweet teacher took on their adventure!

They noticed the differences between hens and roosters, and heard some cock-a-doodle-doos!

When they read about sea turtles at school, they learned that the babies have an "egg tooth" on top of their beaks, which they use to crack open the egg. These brand new baby chicks do too.

The ducklings liked the heat lamp too – and look, they huddle, just like ladybugs do in the winter!

The kids got to touch raw cotton, with the seeds still in it, and then see how the cotton gin separated the seeds and the fibers. The seeds are used for oil – it goes in oreo cookies!

They got to see a milking demonstration…

And tried out some tractors in the big hall.  They’ll use these pictures for their letter t page of their scrapbooks from this year!

Here’s the real live Elsie the cow! Her son Beauregard wasn’t out today; he was resting.

They saw the Moos Brothers, the Stock Show mascots. They stopped for us to take a picture with them, but they were a little cautious about the strange cows!  Anna Kate was cautious and gentle in the petting zoo as well.

You can tell Anna Kate was starting to zone out, lol!  She had the best morning ever… her school and her teachers are SO AMAZING!!!  Thanks Mrs. Julie and Mrs. Paula for all you do for our kids… Anna Kate loves you both so much and enjoys every minute she is learning new things with you!!!

Big sis Mia, Noelle, Emerson, Georgia, and Carson had a blast getting manicures and pedicures and going out to eat for Emerson’s birthday… what lucky little girls!  Our girls’ night out was a total blast!

Noelle got her teeth cleaned last week, and she asked me to take her picture.  I’m glad she did, because she looks super cute!  We got a good report, although she doesn’t have much space, so braces are inevitable, but we’ll deal with that later!

For now, her Yellow “Kindness” House won the most points this 6 weeks and is ahead in overall house points for displaying their character quality around the school.  They are doing this really need program this year at her school where they divided the entire school up into five color houses.  Each house has a character quality and tries to act it out each day at school.  If an adult sees you doing something kind, for instance, they’ll ask you what house you’re in, and you get a point to write your name and house color on to be turned in for the point talley.  The house with the most points at the end of the year wins.  Noelle LOVES it!  Each time it’s “house party” day, she can’t wait to get to school!  They have a cute little kindness cheer, too!  I’ll video her doing it before the year is out.  🙂

Rose loves sitting in her high chair with her kanky and her breakfast.  Some of her favorite breakfast shows are Dora, Max & Ruby, Clifford, or Curious George… she’s always happy with whatever Anna Kate picks out.  When she’s ready to get down, she calls me, “Mommy!” and I stop whatever I’m doing and the day is full speed ahead! *I couldn’t get her to take her eyes off of her show in these pictures, even though she was smiling for me, lol!

Anna Kate loves playing doctor more than anything!  Every time we get a new medicine, she’s so excited to have the bag.  She calls it her prescription.  Remember the pics of the girls with the empty sunglasses on New Year’s Eve?  Well, she uses the shades of those glasses as her xrays… and puts the patient’s body part that needs help in between the iPad and shades.  And I’m not even going to go into our ailments… she thinks up the craziest things wrong with us!!!  She’s so clever in her imaginary play!

Anna Kate asked me if she could be 7 things when she grows up today.  I said, “Sure, if you have enough time!”  She smiled so big and added farmer to her growing list (she went on a field trip to the Stock Show at school today).
