Saturday night was a total blast!  We joined over 125 other people in celebrating the refuge!  We ate dinner with Joe Cavender (the owner of Cavender’s Boot City) and the event was held at his ranch.  He asked me where I got the girls’ dresses!  I thought that was pretty cool.  He can’t sell these dresses in his stores, but he could tell me the exact make and model of my boots (and I did buy them at Cavender’s)!

This picture just makes me laugh!

The girls had a blast at the ranch and learned a lot about horses and how to be cowgirls, lol… (look cute in boots anyway)

There is nothing like a Texas sunset… so vast!  We were in awe watching the sun go down!

And then a horse came into the stable from the pasture for a visit with the girls!

He was so friendly, and we all got to love on him!

Here’s Rose checking out where the horses are auctioned and Anna Kate wanted a picture with the horses’ blankets.

Rose got sleepy, and she only wanted her Rara…

Here’s the girls waiting for everything to wrap up!  What a fun weekend celebrating the refuge!  The first link below is an article in the Palestine paper covering the event… Noelle and Poppa made the paper together again (and two blogs)!
