I asked Anna Kate what kind of flowers she wanted for her dance recital, and she said, “Purple flowers!”  I had to bust it to get the flowers and was just hoping that they had something purple… when I walked in, the first bucket I saw was clearance orchids, and to my luck they were purple, and to top it off, these 5 stems cost all of $1.00!  Anna Kate was ecstatic when I gave them to her after the recital was over and told me they were just what she wanted!  When you’re not trying, that’s when things fall into place!

 

These pictures speak for themselves!  Anna Kate is an awesome little girl, so friendly, outgoing, and confident.  We are proud of you, Anna Katey!

Friends make the world go round!

 

We love our little piggy!!!  Anna Kate hung back on the stage after her dance (she was at the end of the line to walk off the stage).  She looked around and waved and took it all in before her dance teacher held her hand to walk her off.  Everyone was laughing, and she totally stole the show! 

We are so proud of you, Anna Kate!  You did really good this year at dance and have learned a lot!  You are saying you don’t want to take dance next year, so we’ll let you take a break, but I think you might be our dancer!  You’ve got a natural beat to your step and shined so bright on that stage!  Love you, little piggy!  What a memorable 1st dance recital!

We had a blast at field day this year!  We’ve heard they do it up big at Noelle’s school, but that was an understatement.  It was awesome!

They had traditional games as well as about 20 (who knows how many) huge obstacle course bounce houses!  Here’s Ava and Noelle being goofy!

I don’t know if you can really see based on the pics how incredibly tall this slide is… I honestly don’t think I would go down it.  I would probably get to the top and have to come back down the steps, lol!

Here’s Anna Kate just hanging out with Noelle’s friends from soccer!  She’s such a big girl and already, fits right in at school… two more years for my middle baby, and I’m not rushing it one bit!  She does have fun up there though… she will be so comfortable going into kindergarten!

Ava and Rose… Ava’s mom is about to have a baby of her own soon, so the Simmons girls will be right in their element with their new little one!

I had a feeling the light in this bounce house would be cool!  Love getting these carefree pics of Noelle with her friends!

I promised Anna Kate once Field Day was over that we could go to the play ground and play for a little bit, and boy did she and Rose have fun!

It was worth the wait!

 

We met up with the Horton girls for yogurt one afternoon last week, and they just found out they will be having another girl to add to the mix!  Yay!

Thursday night Noelle had her kindergarten musical at school.  She did great, and the whole family enjoyed it and had a whole lot of fun!  We are so proud of sissy!

 

Rose brings back Easter memories of Anna Kate in that dress.  They look so much alike when you compare them at the same age side by side.

Babes on Broadway!

This was in the hallway right after the girls finished.  They were so proud!  The last song was about how they are headed for the first grade and they all held up ones.  It was so precious!

Afterward, we went to Yogurt Zone and lots of Noelle’s friends were there.  Everyone was on a sugar high and the place was bouncing with happy kiddos.  It was so much fun!  Addison, Noelle and Anna Kate were making silly face after face… it was hysterical!  We were all cracking up!

Noelle has been begging for a Bratz doll head for as long as I can remember.  Her friend Autumn knew that she really wanted one, so her sweet Mommy surprised Noelle with one for her birthday!  She has had a lot of fun coloring and fixing her hair!

 

  

 

The girls and I had to get an oil change after dance this week.  They said it was going to be an hour wait, so we walked through a field to Cotton Patch to eat while they changed our oil… and on our way, I took some pics of the girls playing in the wildflowers with my phone… so pretty!

After we finished eating, the waitress said we were free to go because someone paid for our lunch.  She then told us an elderly man to our left always goes out for lunch on his dad’s birthday and buys lunch for someone in honor of his dad.  I cannot tell you what that meant to me.  We went over and thanked him and asked him what his dad’s name was.  He said it was James and that he was a true cowboy from west Texas.  We thanked him again and that was that. 

You never know what will happen when you get an oil change… be it some spontaneous pictures in a field of wildflowers or a free meal in honor of someone really special!
