Week at a Glance
May 30th, 2010
My favorite pic from this week!
Noelle saying, "I’M STILL HUNGRY!" in the pantry, way past bedtime! Noelle is seriously always hungry. This child eats more than the rest of us put together! This night, when I tucked Noelle in, I said, "You’re the best little girl in the whole wide world! She responded, "You’re the best Mommy in the whole wide world!" She is so tender-hearted!
Noelle’s favorite cartoon right now is Arthur. At the end of the show, they teach you how to draw Arthur. Noelle got some of my computer paper, drew Arthur, brought it to me and said, "Look, Mom! I just drew Arthur!" She did this ALL by herself (except for the TV instructions, which she only listened to)! When Mike got home, I told him to guess who Noelle had drawn, and he did!
Noelle always wakes Anna Kate up from her naps, with my permission. It’s the sweetest time of the day. On this day, she gave Anna Kate this necklace and crown. Anna Kate was so proud (you can totally see it in her face)! I thought she was ready to put it all back in her dress-up trunk, but she started crying as I began to take them off, so I left it all on and she kept it on. She’s already bringing me bows and bracelets!
Anna Kate is beginning to talk (a lot)! Mike and I are amazed at her progress this week. Her most impressive grouping is, "I love you!" It’s so cute!
Landon came to play on Wednesday! He’s such a precious little baby. Heather and I had such a relaxing time catching up. Mike and I are going to baby-sit Landon next week, and we can’t wait!!!
Arts and crafts this week!
Noelle’s crafts landed on Mommy and Daddy’s bedroom door, until baby sissy accidentally pulled them both down!
Noelle told us she was going to wear a "Rumba" dress for the season premiere of "SYTYCD" Thursday night. She got a post-it note and wrote on it for her number. After each dance routine, she would say, "Did I make it? Did I get a ticket to Vegas?" When we would say, "Of course!" she’d run around the living room and celebrate!
…and then the TV shut-off and the electricity went out with a HUGE explosion! The fire department came and all the neighbors rushed outside to figure out what had happened. Turns out, the transformer box exploded two doors down from our house. Noelle was really scared, as it was a really unusual occurrence, using flash lights and candles to see where were going. Thursday night was LONG and HOT… we had no electricity all night. I was really too tired to journey to Keller the next day, but we had to get out of the heat! We ended up having the most perfect day!
Meeting Micah McCown! What a beautiful baby!
On the way to Keller, Noelle was cracking me up. I wrote down everything she was saying. Here’s some of her quotes from the car ride (5/28):
"Good thing we didn’t die last night. That would be horrifying!" "You have to leave some food for the McCowns!!!" (I couldn’t stop eating the french fries from the Chick-Fil-A we were taking) About Anna Kate: "She’s about to have a melt-down!" (Anna Kate’s NEVER had a melt-down) then, "Chill pill" directed at Anna Kate. In a country accent about Tate, "I’m not into LITTLE boyfriends." To Anna Kate in a playful voice: "I love my Baby Biscuit! I say Baby Biscuit because I love Anna Kate. Where’s my Baby Biscuit!?!"
The girls had fun playing with the sponge animals that grow when you put them in water. Meredith and I were determined to figure out what animals each girl had… yes, we had to use the key, but we did it!!!
The Eberts went to the airport on Saturday. Michele and I were determined to get a picture of Drew with his aunt, after all, his special shirt says, "My Aunt Rocks!" I said, "I love your shirt, Drew." He began trying to take it off saying, "I don’t like it!" What a crack up!
Unfortunately for Drew, his Mommy and I found this photo shoot rather hilarious! Michele kept saying, "Aunt Momo’s gonna win this one, Drew!" I love you so much, Drew Baloo!
Poppa, surprisingly, gave Anna her first bottle of Kool-Aid without her Mommy’s permission. Michele was yelling, "Dad, she doesn’t know that exists!!!" He was just laughing. What!?! Way to go, Poppa Doc! (unfortunately Michele lives too far away for you to be her dentist. Is it fair for her to send you the bill?) Lol…
Noelle loves jewelry and fashion! What a little ham! On this morning, Noelle was watching Arthur, and a Zhu-Zhu pet commercial came on. She came to me and said, "I want a ‘Susie’ pet SO BAD! It’s shaking my life up!"
& I just had to post a picture of Bo and Sharon’s beautiful flower arrangement they let me borrow for my dining room. I was supposed to take it back on Wednesday… Bekah, sneak it out of the house when I’m next door, okay? 🙂
