First Day of Gym!

Noelle loved going to gym with her Daddy!  Her favorite part was holding up her hands and saying "Ta-da" at the end of each trick!

The stations were challenging and fun!

Noelle LOVED the trampoline!!!

Noelle’s instructor told her to do a roll and she had no clue what to do, but Mike whispered in her ear to do a flip, and she went for it!

Noelle got to ring the bell for the entire gym to clap because she walked across the beam for the first time!  She was screaming when we started walking to the door after class because she wanted more gym.  Thank goodness we go back Tuesday!

Go Jamil!  Heather gave us this really cool sidewalk chalk that came with 3D glasses.  The kids had a blast watching the rocket fly above the sidewalk.

Checking out the froggy on her lunch box and then we’re off!  Mike and I both took her to school this morning.  When we pulled up, she said, "That’s my school!" over and over again.  She gave us each a hug and kiss at the door and didn’t look back after that.  They were already doing centers and playing with puppets.

Just for fun, I’m posting her school schedule.  I’ve been following along all morning!  🙂

Noelle is going to an early childhood education center.  We chose this place because even though she is only 2, they do treat it like preschool.  I can’t wait to hear what all she will learn this year!

The unit for this month is "I Have A Place In God’s World."  Today’s lesson is "Jonathan’s Special Friend."  Next week the lessons are "God Gave Me Eyes and Ears" and "God Gave Me A Nose, A Tongue, And Hands."

Noelle just had her first potty break.  I hope she made it!  Now I’m off to run as many errands as I can before 2:30!

Poppa takes me flying, gives me lots of yummy treats, and sets up the best flippin’ tents around!  Thanks for all you do and happy birthday to ya! Love, The Ponds

Come See my Big Girl Bed!

August 28th, 2008

Camron, Jamil, & Ashley came over for supper Tuesday night, and Noelle couldn’t wait to show them her big girl bed!

Noelle LOVES her Ashley!

Camron really wanted our picture together (he’s so sweet).  Jamil asked me if he could give Noelle a nickname.  I said, "Sure!"  He said, "Good.  Then I’m going to start calling her Little Bit."  I told him I’m going to start calling him, "Smiley."

Camron taking advantage of Noelle’s new bed.  I don’t have it all "fancied" up yet (we’ve been reading "Fancy Nancy" a lot this week), but Noelle absolutely loves her big girl bed.

I was asked to take MOPS kick-off photos for our first newsletter.  I had so much fun chasing all the kiddos around.  They are all so cute and FUN!  Today was a great day!

Meet the Teacher Day!

Today was meet the teacher day at Noelle’s preschool.  This year, she is in the Little Lambs class!  Her teachers are Mrs. Nelda and Mrs. Erica.

Her first day of school is Thursday, and we are all so excited!  She didn’t want to leave her classroom this morning and said, "I want to stay with the teachers!"  Yay!

Kanky Blanky!

August 26th, 2008

IMG_9306

We’ve been reading "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" this week.  Noelle loves reading books!  On the page where the wicked Queen turns into a scary old lady, Noelle said, "That Queen’s gonna get Snow White!"  She loves pointing at all the animals Snow White makes friends with and sings to in the forest.

Random fact about me: This is a picture of Noelle with my blanky, named Kanky.  I’ve had Kanky ever since I was born.  My parents nearly freaked when I took my blanket to college.  Mom even bought a pillow with a pouch to hide it in!  Many years later, married and with child, I still sleep with Kanky every night.  🙂

P.S.  I’m just now letting Noelle "share" Kanky but just for story time.

Last Hurrah!

Noelle got so excited when we got to the stadium and had a blast eating all John and Curtis’s food at the Cuervo Club before the game.

Noelle loved the fact that the Rangers are out of playoff contention because she had plenty of room to run around and strike poses for the paparazzi (Curtis and myself)!

IMG_9283

I cannot tell you how great it is just to sit back and be at the ballpark.  Ahh…

IMG_9300

Noelle fell asleep on the way home and John was so sweet to bring her in and keep her comfortable.

Noelle slept like this when she was a baby, and I still find her sleeping like this every now and then in her big girl bed.

Alley Cats!

Victoria & Rebekah spent the night with us last night and boy did we have fun!  We started the night off at Nelda’s, then went to play games at Alley Cats.  The girls won so many tickets, and we got all sorts of treats.  They even bought Noelle a sheet of stick-on earrings.  Then we came home and Skyped (video chat) with the Eberts, which is so cool because we actually get to see them live on the computer.  Mike then yelled, "Everyone get in the car!" and we proceeded to Marble Slab.  When we got home, we  watched "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" which was super cute.  We finished the night with our tradition of Mo’s bed-time stories (which are getting lame because I need some new material – I promise to work on them)!  This morning we had donuts with sprinkles, and the girls were off to do last minute errands before school starts on Monday.  We had so much fun with you guys and always LOVE having you!  Sorry I was so dorky (I’ll work on that too)!
