Sooooo\u2026.. we kind of missed bluebonnet season this year! Just a lot going on, lol! Here we are with the very tail end of them, but no regrets here! This will probably be the girls\u2019 favorite bluebonnet memory from their childhood!<\/p>\n

So, yeah\u2026 this is where the best memory part comes in. We had to hunt down some bluebonnets to even get a picture with them at all, and the only ones we could find were on a busy road\u2026 so, we had to climb this dirt pile from the other side to get to them. Yes, I was 8 months pregnant. It\u2019s one of the only credits I give to having spent my childhood dancing\u2026 extraordinary balance. <\/p>\n

I didn\u2019t realize what a memory it was until a couple weeks later, when Rose asked when we could go \u201crock climbing\u201d again. I told her she had never been rock climbing before, and she was adamant that she had. She finally blurted out in frustration, \u201cMom, we went with Emily to get to the bluebonnets! We climbed the big big rocks to get there.\u201d Ohhhhhhhh\u2026<\/p>\n

The day we took the pictures, Emily and Noelle just thought it was funny and kept making fun of me, like, \u201cWow, can\u2019t believe you\u2019ll go to this extreme for a picture!\u201d but were having fun with it. Anna Kate was just exploring\u2014always exploring. Gosh, I love my kids!<\/p>\n

Mike was not the happiest of campers when he saw the pictures, but he trusts me with all of his heart and was not surprised one bit! He wouldn\u2019t have let us do it if he had been there\u2026 love that man!<\/p>\n

So, I award the bluebonnet pictures of 2016, the most fun bluebonnet pictures we will ever have\u2026 and aren\u2019t those the best kind to have?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
