I\u2019ve had a blast hanging out with Anna Kate on Mondays so far this year!  Today, we had a pj day (this picture is from Saturday).  She\u2019s my doll baby!  Anna Kate is reading up a storm!  She gets intimidated, but when she steps back and uses her letter sounds for words she hasn\u2019t already memorized, she gets the word almost every time.  The hard part is getting her to attempt a word she is not familiar with, but when she tries and gets the word correct, she is so proud of herself!  It\u2019s fun to watch her excitement!  We use Mondays to read read read!  It\u2019s great to have some one-on-one time to concentrate.  <\/p>\n

We play pretend store almost every day!  Anna Kate named our store \u201cFabulous and Glorious!\u201d  She\u2019ll answer her little phone and say, \u201cFabulous and Glorious!  This is Anna Kate.  How may I help you today?\u201d  She\u2019s so creative and so much FUN!  Lately she\u2019s been singing the first part of the Christmas carol, \u201cTis the season to be jolly\u2026\u201d but instead of those words, she\u2019s sings so loudly, \u201cKiss the season to be jolly!\u201d  She and I get so tickled about it and laugh and laugh.  She doesn\u2019t know it\u2019s not \u201cKiss the season\u201d and I\u2019m sure not going to tell her!  She just giggles because she knows she is cute!  That song is totally stuck in her head for some reason (maybe it\u2019s because we keep laughing about it)!  One more funny thing Anna Kate said the other day, was, \u201cMom, I know why they call penguins, penguins!\u201d  \u201cOh yeah,\u201d I said.  \u201cBecause they are PINK ones.\u201d and she held up a pink penguin that she has on one of her necklaces.  She\u2019s been thinking about words and what they mean a lot lately.  It\u2019s cool seeing her put so much together, even if penguins are mostly black and white, lol!  She\u2019s trying to make sense of it all.  Aren\u2019t we all!?!  <\/p>\n

Anna Kate, please please please never change.  You are so perfectly you, from head to toe.  I\u2019m in awe of your clever humor and your spunk.  You are a sweetheart, a beautiful girl on the inside and out, and we all love you very much!  Keep doing your thing, Anna Kate!  You\u2019re great!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
