Hawaiian Falls!
August 16th, 2011
This was our last summer hoorah before kindergarten starts on Monday!!!
Noelle rode everything she was tall enough to ride. She’s done a 180… last summer this child wouldn’t even jump off the side of the pool. She’s gotten so brave!!!
Bekah and Mike were the dare devils of the day, first to try out the new torpedo ride!
This was by far the scariest ride in the park! Mike was trying to talk me into riding it all day long. I said, “Why? What’s the point?” And he said, “To live and be alive!” When he said that, I knew I would eventually have to face my fears…
The lazy river was my favorite part… we floated down it all day long!
Mike first to come down the torpedo!
Here’s me finally getting into the torpedo… I was up there forever trying to build up the courage! I wanted to come down the stairs so badly, but I knew that would not be a good example to Noelle about facing challenges in life.
She ran up to me with the biggest smile on her face and screamed, “You did it, Mommy! You faced your fears!” I broke down crying because I had been so scared and was so proud of myself for giving her this moment of triumph. Now I know why they have these scary activities at Christian camps – they really do build confidence!
The park was open late for a summer movie, but lightning was spotted in the sky, so we didn’t get to see how that was going to work out.
Noelle would have stayed there all night! Our kids really live life to the fullest.
