A million more pictures to share and so much more to write about this precious little girl, but for now, I’d like you to meet my beautiful goddaughter, Joella Katherine-Faye Banks born August 6, 2015 at 7:34pm, weighing in at 6 lbs 10 oz and 18 1/4 inches long.  We could not be more excited for her loving family and the awesome privilege to be a part of her life! 

 

I had to get this blog post up ASAP of Jaalisa’s beautiful baby shower because she’s having her baby right now as I type this!  We could not be more ready or excited!  She has 4 beautiful boys and they are about to become big brothers to a baby sister!

The shower food was breakfast themed and absolutely delicious!  Jaalisa and her girls sure know how to cook!

 

Braxton is boy #2 and Brayden is their first beautiful boy!  Our girls play so well with their Banks buddies, and it’s so fun seeing who they pair up to play with because it’s different each time we’re together. 

Jaalisa did the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen at a baby shower.  She made these little corsages for each of the women in her family.  She labeled them with the character quality they have taught her throughout the years that she wants them to pass on to her baby girl.  It was so special, tender and thoughtful!

 

Fun shower game—talking on the phone while hanging clothes on the line and feeding the baby, all at the same time!  Who do you think won?  Daddy Brendan!!!

 

Presents are the most fun thing at a baby girl shower!  The cuteness just overflowed!

Now that it’s August, I’m posting pics from our favorite weekend of the summer, hey!  We stayed an extra day this year, but it went by faster than ever.  Tying with Christmas, this is our favorite holiday by far, thanks to my Aunt Elsie and Uncle Andy!  It’s just so awesome to me that our girls will tell their children stories about their 4th of July adventures at the lake.  Each year, when we drive over the big bridge on the way into town, the girls scream delightedly, “We’re at the 4th of July!”  The 4th of July is just as much a place for them as it is an historical moment for our country.

This is such a sweet picture of our whole family.  Mike adores us, and we’re crazy about him right back!  So thankful Aunt Joe was shooting today too—She’s an artist in every sense of the word!

We were so excited to spend some time with my cousin Brady and his wife, Nathalie.  They are expecting their first baby, and the girls were so giddy to be in on the big news!  I have no clue where Rara was this morning, but her sisters did not disappoint!

 

There’s nothing that gives me greater joy than enjoying my family loving on each other!  Life just flies by so quickly, and I’m taking it all in as best as I can. 

Brother Man is always up for an adventure with our girls! 

 

Aunt E has a toy chest that is the gift that keeps on giving!  The girls love goofing off with the best of them!  

After a fun afternoon in the sun, the girls were ready to go party at the club, and that’s exactly what we did!

Rose, for the life of her, could not figure out why this boy’s turn went on forever and ever!  Intro to checkers 101!

 

S’mores, movie on the lawn (National Treasure), crocket, and loving on a random bichon because the girls were missing Jax!

 

 

This is what happens before you get to the club!  Shirley Temples and requesting every song you can think of was the perfect end to our first day celebrating America!
