Grillin’ Out

The girls were so excited to see their Pond cousin, Noemi, over the holiday weekend!  We had a blast catching up!

17-IMG_5349 18-IMG_5350

Isn’t she a doll baby!?!  Noemi is 2, almost exactly one year younger than Rose.  They grow soooo fast!

21-IMG_5372 22-IMG_5378

We had s’mores, but Rose wasn’t a huge fan because of how sticky they were!  It was Aunt Susana’s first time to try s’mores, and I think they were a hit!

We played until we couldn’t play any longer!  Love these girlies!

This was such a fun and special night for our family to just play, dance and goof off together, and I think you can see that in the pictures… just wish there was one of all five of us!  Maybe next year, we can bring the tripod!  Winking smile

Mara released horsey endorphins to give him peace of mind before the kids came to feed and pet him.

Mrs. Paula is always always teaching!  She’s truly the toddler whisperer, and I admire her so much!  Where other teachers we’ve experienced (sadly) yell at the class to get their attention, she literally whisperers, and they all lean in to listen because no one wants to miss out on all the interesting things she has to say!

37-IMG_5143 38-IMG_5144

41-IMG_5159 40-IMG_5156

Anna Kate had a blast getting the sand blown off of her!  No matter where you go, or what you do, a more fun field trip for preschoolers does not exist!  Thank you, Mara, Jerry and Luke for sharing your farm in the big city with us!  You truly have the best of both worlds!

*These are my pictures from a mother’s eye of all of the farm fun, but I’ll post Mrs. Paula’s soon with the rest of her May pics!  Oh, and check out her website too!  She went into all the educational details of the trip and described everything exactly as it happened.  I had a blast watching her and the kids in action on this field trip, and she even caught me looking totally grossed out at how long one of the claws on the chicken was (I had actually just gotten through touching it in her picture)!  So funny!  Check it out:

Zoo Field Trip

May 23rd, 2014

04-IMG_4951 39-IMG_5046

Noelle and I had the best time on her 2nd grade field trip to the zoo last week!

37-IMG_5034 02-IMG_4949

06-IMG_4953 09-IMG_4957

So fun feeding the giraffes!

11-IMG_4965 5-IMG_4969

Here’s sweet little Noelle’s head next to a crazy big elephant skull!  Noelle took this picture of me and my friend Natalie!

13-IMG_4976 15-IMG_4978

Addison, Brianna, and Noelle had fun posing with the gorillas!

16-IMG_4983

Aren’t they cute!?!

20-IMG_4991 21-IMG_4995

We had a blast eating at a really fun restaurant right here among the lions!  Where the girls were standing in the left picture was close to our table… so cool!

22-IMG_4997 1-IMG_5029

So cool until I stopped chewing because someone wouldn’t stop staring at me!!!  He has a piercing stare, that’s for sure!

23-IMG_5000 24-IMG_5001

We rode a monorail around the zoo toward the end of the day as we were getting tired, and these were some of the animals we spotted on our ride!

25-IMG_5005 26-IMG_5006

Our last stop was the Reptile House (with some amphibians mixed in).  It was super creepy!

27-IMG_5007 28-IMG_5008

29-IMG_5012 30-IMG_5013

The Albino Alligator was a favorite!

Yikes!

34-IMG_5023

So fun!

35-IMG_5027 19-IMG_4989

On our way out, we ran into this huge anteater that gave us some great laughs!  Super fun day at the zoo!

May green be the grass you walk on,
May blue be the skies above you,
May pure be the joys that surround you,
May true be the hearts that love you.
