Noelle had a blast showing her friends all of our fun Japan souvenirs!

I had to come late to the fair because I had a previous commitment, so Mike had to get the girls ready and do their hair. I showed Mike how to do a bun in Noelle’s hair the night before, and this is what it looked like the next day when it was his turn! Noelle made him take a picture of it so she could see what it looked like because she couldn’t believe her Daddy knew how to do that. So cool!

Anna Kate went with Mike last weekend to pick Rara up from the airport; she couldn’t wait any longer!  Rara went to Santa Fe to spend the week with her sisters and join in the celebration of a wonderful art exhibition my Aunt Joe premiered called, “Journey.”  We sure did miss our Rara but were so happy she got to go spend a fun week with her sisters… and we couldn’t be more proud of our Aunt Joe Joe, whose art transcends time!

Mike sent me these pictures via text one day while I was out, and we were cracking up!  Rose has her own agenda, that’s for sure, and she wasn’t taking pictures for Daddy today!  The only thing she was having was showing the world her cute little new haircut!

Multicultural Fair!

ThePondFam5 had a blast sharing our Japanese souvenirs from our friend Tomomi at the multicultural fair this week!  I’ve had a very special pen pal from Japan since the 4th grade, before the internet.  My wonderful friend, Tomomi, sent me these pictures and fun letters throughout the years! (and the kimonos Noelle and Rose are wearing)

Here’s another picture of the PondFam5 booth, and the sweet little kimono girls their Daddy dressed for the fair!

Here’s Noelle’s wonderful school counselor, Mrs. Arnold, posing with the Pond girls.  Don’t know what we’d do without her friendship and support!!!  Noelle had a blast tonight, and I’m so glad we got to share our love for Japan with the students at her school.  Mike even made origami with the students who wanted to take home a piece of Japan!
