Weekly Wonderings
September 9th, 2012
These are pics from a few weeks back. Noelle and Anna Kate were in front of a huge water fountain… they were really excited. It was a cool moment. The second picture is Rose biting Mike’s finger while he’s flossing her teeth. I thought they looked so cute, I got the camera out, and right when I took their picture is when she bit down, lol! Memories…
Anna Kate has gotten a lot of special attention this week with Rose being at Rara’s and Noelle being at school. We’ve had fun one-on-one time together! One day, we went shopping (more like I had a quick exchange, lol) and girlfriend found herself some shoes!
Our big treat as a family right now is getting to eat out every once in a while… patios are our favorite! I never want to forget good food, laughing and relaxing at dinner with my little family!
Dr. Pond and a wedding
September 8th, 2012
Anna Kate LOVES to play doctor with anyone, anywhere!
Anna Kate’s not one of those people to faint at the sight of blood… in fact, she embraces it! When Rose is getting shots at the doctor, Anna Kate is right up in there not missing a beat. She’ll tell Rose she’s so sorry it hurt, and comforts her, but she is very interested in the process at the same time.
I’d be surprised if Anna Kate doesn’t do something in the medical field!
And then along comes “Prince”cess charming, and asks Anna Kate to marry her. In the first picture, she’s saying, “Will you marry me?” In the second picture, Anna Kate says, ‘Yes!’” and in the third picture Noelle is putting the ring on her finger.
So sweet and innocent! Laid back Saturdays are my favorite! (this was last Sat 9/01)
Please blow up the rectangular swimming pool!
September 4th, 2012
This was Anna Kate’s one and only request this summer. Time and again, she begged for the rectangular swimming pool, you know, the one like we had last year. Finally, the time came to bust it out!
Susie brought over some ice pops, and the kiddos were havin a good time splashin around! It’s all in the simple things!
Rara came to help me with doctor’s appointments this week, and she surprised the girls. They just saw her car drive up and all three ran to her screaming, “Rara!” It was fun to watch!
The girls love hanging outside with our neighbors… spontaneous works best for us!
I would say, “Suns up, guns up!” but the sun is clearly going down, so that caption won’t work. Hum… we’ll just leave it at that for tonight. That’s just stuck in my head, and I can’t think of anything else to say, lol!
First day pics…
September 2nd, 2012
Mrs. Paula loves taking pictures as much as I do! She takes pictures of the kids all day long and puts them on a share site for the families. I’ll put my favorite ones of Anna Kate on the blog. I love that she was playing with mud and having fun on the swings!
Oh dear! All I can say about this picture is, “Watch out for Anna Kate! She has found her voice.” It must have been a year ago that a little boy punched her at a McDonald’s play land. She had a red bruise on her cheek, and it was just awful. Honestly, ever since then, she’s had a hang-up about boys. We try to tell her it’s not the gender, that the boy that hit her could have been a girl, but it doesn’t compute. However, when we asked her if she made any friends after her first day, she said yes, and to our surprise, it was a boy named Hank. She told us they had fun looking at the airplanes flying in the sky together (which Anna Kate thinks (and told Hank) that airplanes are taking people that have died to heaven, which is totally another story). All in all, we have one very fascinating 3 year old who we love very much!!!
*When I asked Anna Kate what was going on in this picture, she said the little boy stuck his tongue out at her and she was calling him out on it, lol!
