School’s Out For Summer!
June 5th, 2012
We had a progressive end of school neighborhood party last week to celebrate the end of school! We had an activity in each front yard, and we moved the party down the street, one house at a time!
Ava, Noelle, and Chloe were some of the first kiddos to arrive on the scene!
Holly set up a fun kiddie pool for the babies and everyone really enjoyed it!
The kindergarten graduates at the party: Chloe, Brianna, Noelle and Ava (with her sweet sissy Eden)
Berkeley, Anna Kate, Noelle, and Rose were staying cool in the pool!
Street dance!
Right after this pic on the left I had to scoop Anna Kate up… she was shivering so much that she was shaking! We got in the sun and she warmed right up!
Julia was being silly! Rose felt so big in this low to the ground chair… we need one!
Ava and Noelle love each other this much!!!
Dr. Chris was working so hard making sure every kid got a water balloon!
Our next house had karaoke for the kids! It was fun watching all of them take turns singing! Noelle and Chloe had fun saying goodbye (for the night)!
Next, we went over to Susie’s for some good ole chalking!
Wow Rose… we didn’t know you were ready for this!
Noelle was making her name all fancy!
Rose was really chalking… it was so cool!
I was taking it all in when I took this picture… so thankful for our neighbors/friends!
Anna Kate was having a blast! Love this girl!
We finished off the night at our house with water balloons and rocket launchers…
On your mark, get set, GO! Love all their faces in this pic!
We worked so hard this year helping our kids learn new things… we did it too! Lol…
Mike and Noelle had a really sweet conversation at the end of the party that I’ll never forget! And Ella and Rose made friends tonight… when they finish kindergarten I really will be in tears!!! What a great idea and super fun night for all!
Happy Anniversary C&C!
June 4th, 2012
Happy Anniversary, Curt and Cindy! Thanks to your amazing daughter, we were able to give you the most beautiful flowers in Cali! There is so much sadness in our lives, but through the pain, we celebrate. We celebrate your love, your laughter, your joy, your memories, your jokes, your sweet glances you think no one sees, your truthfulness, your cleanliness (lol), your beautiful kiddos, your salsa stained white shirt, your faithfulness, your story… Cheers to your love! Cheers to today!
End of Year School Party!
June 3rd, 2012
We got to go up to Noelle’s school one last time for her end of year party! The Kona Ice came so the kids could get snow cones and then they all played games outside.
We had lunch with Noelle beforehand. We waited in the cafeteria for the party to start, so Anna Kate went on the big stage and had some fun! A man had his pet snake up at the school for one of the classes to see. We made friends with him in the hall and he asked Noelle if she wanted to hold it, and this is what happened next. Where did she come from? She’s so fancy and so brave all wrapped up in one little girl! NO WAY would I be able to do that… she said he felt so smooth and soft (when I was creeped out), like it was something she just holds every day, no biggie!
Noelle had so many sweet friends in her class… she had a blast getting to know Emily this year! Here Rose is ready to get out and play! It looks like she’s saying, “Hey, it’s my turn to play!”
Here’s Noelle and Ava finishing up their snow cones!
Rose is free to roam, which makes scanning the area for 3 at bit more challenging!
This is Noelle and her friend Kory!
Addison and Noelle finished up their play time chalking… and then we packed up and went home… with one more day of kindergarten left!
Memorial Day Memories!
June 1st, 2012
We went over to the Zillman’s on Sunday for some Memorial Day fun! Mike cooked kabobs for everyone, Susie had awesome appetizers, and we partied it up!
It took Rose a while to get used to the water… she just did not know what to think! Noelle and Malia were having races across the pool in their inner tubes… it was so cute seeing them having so much fun together!
Here’s the kids enjoying their “chicken.” Anna Kate said, “Daddy, I love your chicken!” It was really pork and beef, but as long as she was enjoying it, we didn’t care what she called it. Anna Kate is our picky eater!
This is Malia being her little amazing self! (with her Daddy’s help)
This is Noelle loving her “special attention.” Any time she gets one on one time with either of us, she always says, “This is my turn for special attention!”
Here is Rose trying out her Christmas present, lol! We are going to buy it from the Zillmans if Malia outgrows it by Christmas… we love hand me downs! Here is Rose wiping her face with her napkin. We told her to do it, and lo and behold, she did! She’s starting to follow lots of directions… it’s so neat seeing her wheels turn!
This is the Zillmans beloved dog, Kukui. The girls always call her “Kack-koo-e!” She’s a calm and gentle dog. We’d claim her!
We always talk about Rose’s black hair… so I thought I’d show you a picture of the back of her head from the week she was born (2/11/11), so you can compare it to now in the picture on the left… it’s getting so light, like the other girls’ hair did! So strange!
These girls were being so giddy and silly tonight!!!
We had a wonderful day off enjoying our freedoms! Thank you to all who have served to protect them!
