2 week check-up
February 27th, 2011
Wednesday I took all three girls to Rose’s 2 week check-up. I felt so empowered having all three on my own – I wanted to shout out, “I’m doing it!” I was so happy!
This is my life – what a blessing it is to live it!
Loving this baby girl SO much!
I really wanted the big girls to come with us so that their pediatrician could see them all interacting together. She called Noelle “Mother hen” and gave Anna Kate A LOT of special attention after seeing her world was a little shaken!
Thursday after school Anna Kate hit someone for the first time EVER. She hit a little boy who was trying to touch Rose in her car seat. And then, another Mom was helping me push the stroller out of the double doors and Anna Kate ran up to her and scratched her arm and screamed hysterically because she thought the lady was taking her baby. She is acting out for the first times in her life, but at least it’s to protect her baby sister, not against her baby sister. We’re just loving her through the change. I mean, look at her… she’s just precious!
Finishing off cowgirl week strong! Man, this was a great week, all things considered!
Beware of snakes!
February 26th, 2011
Noelle and Rara have this thing going on… Noelle has always LOVED to put snakes in Rara’s bed. When she knows she coming to town, she’ll put them there days before Rara arrives. Anyway, this visit, Noelle put up this sign that said, “No Rara!” I asked her what it meant, and she said, “Rara better not get in the bed or she’ll get bit by the snakes.” Too funny!
Noelle’s purse full of snakes… if you ever see her carrying this purse, you better run!
Since I didn’t get any pics of Ra with the girls last weekend, I thought I would send her a shout out. She is always swooping in and out of town trying to make our lives a little easier. Last weekend, she came and worked her little toosh off for us… cleaning, cooking, running errands, ironing, doing laundry, trimming rose bushes, whatever she could think of to help. She even stayed home to do all of this work so that we could take the girls to get their hair cut at Sweet and Sassy on Monday. When we got home, supper was ready, and the house was so clean. We owe her a debt of gratitude, and I wanted to thank my Mommy, my hero, for all the love and care she has given us over the past couple of weeks!
