Babe’s!!!
January 26th, 2011
We have heard so much rave about Babe’s that we had to go check it out!
You choose from 6 meats, and they do the rest… unlimited salad, biscuits (crowd pleaser), green beans, mashed potatoes, and creamed corn – all to die for!!!
The waiters sing, and the kids get to do the hokey pokey!
Our littles were so happy because their tummies were full!
Thanks Fearings and Starkeys – we had a blast hanging out with you guys tonight! See you on the flip side! ![]()

Oh Anna Kate! How we love you so!
She loves taking her picture like sissy and even tries to pose with her hands on her hips, which she sees Noelle doing all the time. Sweet baby girl. Every time we take her picture, she runs up to the camera and says, “See, see!” because she wants to see herself. When we show her, she says, “Aww!” Never want to forget that!
Noelle REALLY wants to wear her hair like this to school one day. Every time she asks, Mike tells her the other kids might be distracted. Ha! We’ll see how this one unfolds. Only time will tell…
Super Bowl mania!
January 24th, 2011
So the Super Bowl is headed to town! The hospital where I delivered Noelle and Anna Kate is literally 2 minutes down the road from the Cowboys Stadium, so we decided to opt out of the possibility of an ambulance ride to the hospital! It would make for a good story… oh well, so long good story. We had to change doctors so that we can deliver at a new hospital right down the street from our new house. We’re at a max of 3 weeks out – can’t wait to meet our little ROSE!!!
Funnies
January 21st, 2011
*Noelle has to deserve dessert in the evenings based on her behavior and how well she eats. One night this week I told her not to get under the table at the restaurant. She disobeyed. I said, “Noelle, I just asked you not to go under the table. You lose your dessert privilege.” She politely said she was SO sorry and asked for a little grace. How can you say no to that? We talked about what grace truly means, and I told her she could have grace tonight.
So, on the way home, we got the girls ice cream, and I took a bite of hers. Apparently she thought it was a little too big, because she said, “Mom, you can’t give me grace and then take it away!”
Another side note about Noelle: She began reading on January 13th! We’re just reading beginner books, but so far she’s read 5 all by herself! So happy about that!
*Anna Kate calls Elmo, Nemo. She is just so confused by those two. Also, if you ask her how old she is, she’ll scream, “NINE!” We laugh and correct her with, “Anna Kate, say one,” and she will even more emphatically yell out, “NINE!!!” So be it! She is also saying “Cool!” all the time!
Yesterday, my dear friend Carol took Noelle to school so I wouldn’t have to get Anna Kate out in the cold. When Anna Kate woke up, she said, “Where sissy?” I said, “She’s at school.” And she said, “AH MAN!” Then she said, “Where Daddy?” I said, “He’s at work.” She said even louder, “AH MAN!!!” So cute!
And… the girls just can’t get enough of this silly video! (excuse the gorilla) Thanks Aunt E!

Pictures are slim pickings this week!
One year after living here, and we finally found a desk for Mike’s office – yay! Each piece we add to the house is so fun and exciting and definitely worth the wait.
Have a great weekend!!!
Happy Birthday, Rose!
January 17th, 2011
Poppa took Noelle to Rose’s birthday party this weekend while we borrowed his truck to go buy a new crib (ours got recalled) and a desk for Mike’s office, oh, and look for a new car (we’ve finally outgrown the Accord)! While Mommy and Daddy were busy, our little gymnast was having the time of her life!
Practicing her “3 Musketeer skills!”
Noelle and Rose
Noelle couldn’t have had any more fun!
Brave little monkey!
Happy birthday, Rose!
Thanks Poppa for taking Noelle to her party and taking these pics! What a fun surprise!
Too Great!
January 14th, 2011
This is just too great not to share. The Montanas are our neighbors who live down the street. I’ve only met Stasia (the mom) once in my front yard, but with Katie and Rose being the same age, I’m sure we’re going to have a lot of fun with them! They have two older boys and a “surprise” baby they thought was another little boy. After 4 sonograms that appeared to be a little boy, God humored them with a little girl! It took several days to name her. It was so cute… every day when the neighbors would check our mailboxes, we’d call out, “Does she have a name yet?” Although I don’t know them, I have been so happy and excited with them. We have a unique neighborhood where everyone feels connected to one another. We are so happy to be home! Anyway, check out the reveal of the surprise on minute 2:00 of the video. This is what life is all about!
P.S. We had a sonogram on Monday, and Rose is definitely Rose! She’s already 6 lbs. 4 oz. of pure GIRL!
