Soccer Star?

We asked Noelle if she wanted to play soccer this year, and she said she just wants to play in the yard with Daddy.  So, we agreed!

You can’t make this stuff up!

I’m so happy we have a yard that the kids can play in and don’t take it for granted for one second.  I can’t believe Noelle didn’t have a yard until she was 4, but it was worth the wait!

The Girls

Our sweet girls were really sick last week, so we have been laying low.  Anna Kate has a new little hobby.  Bracelets!  I don’t know how she fits them all on her arm.  She’ll keep them on too.  I have to take them off after a bit because I worry they are too tight.  Her little arm has indentions afterward, but she cries every time I take them off because she wants to keep them on.  I think she does this on a daily basis now.  Too funny!  Noelle had 100 degree fever in this pic, but she has been really sweet even though she hasn’t felt well.

Around the house with Noelle

Noelle asked if she could take pics around the house one night last week.  They were all surprises to me, and I thought she did really well.

I guess this needs an explanation.  Noelle always asks Mike to show her pics of things online.  One night, she asked him to show her what a mosquito looks like, and this image appeared in his search.  This night, she told Mike she wanted to take a picture of the mosquito biting the man with no hair, so he pulled it up on his laptop so she could take a picture of it.  Oh Noelle!

Last day of summer dance!

Noelle LOVED summer dance!  It was so laid back and relaxed compared to during the school year.  She was really able to shine and be herself!

Her class put on a mini-recital during their last class.

At first there were lots of giggles…

Okay… now we are getting serious.

Good girl!

Noelle knew a lot of the dance moves!  We were so proud of her!

We love you, Princess Noelle!

Dress-up!

Noelle keeps changing her mind about what she wants to be for Halloween this year.  In this picture, she is a three musketeer at a masquerade ball.  One night, Anna Kate found Noelle’s bracelets and went to town all by herself.

She had a ball!  I think she was a little embarrassed she had been caught.  Her little ponies had fallen out (almost bedtime), and I love how disheveled she looks.  My little rag doll!  🙂

What a sweet little baby (after all, she’s the baby for 5 more months)!  I’ll say it again and again… Anna Kate is the easiest baby I could ever dream up!  Thank God for this little bundle of JOY!

Noelle dressed herself today for our family walk.  She always puts together colorful ensembles I would never think of.  She’s brave, gaudy, and full of life!  I love her style!

When the Cats Away…

Anna Kate LOVES Sissy’s school days for lots of reasons.  She gets to be an only child for 5 months, and we get to spend special time together.  But I’m sure her #1 reason is that she gets to play with all of Noelle’s toys and no one is here to stop her.

You should have seen her the first morning we were home alone together.  She went straight to Noelle’s room, looked back at me as if to say, “Is this okay?” I said out loud, “Go ahead!” and she smiled, squealed and clapped as she ran into Noelle’s room like it was Christmas.  She played and played hard!  Afterward, we picked everything up and put it back before Noelle got home, and it has been a school-day ritual ever since.  Please keep our little secret!  🙂
