How cool is this?  I’ve never seen a cicada coming out of its shell before.  

I’m not taking my camera to our outings these days (just too much going on), but the girls looked so cute this morning before movie day that I had to snap a pic before we left.

Noelle asked if she could try on my "wedding ring" tonight at supper.  After I let her, she told me that she wanted to get married too.  I told her when she grows up she will marry the man of her dreams, but she has to ask her Daddy first.  She immediately looked at Mike and said, "Bailey?"  

Sadie is one month older than Anna Kate, and we couldn’t wait for our babies to finally meet.  Noelle had a blast playing with Sadie too.  She’s such a great big sister!

Anna Kate loves to watch me fold clothes.  I always brush the towels over her head, and she just giggles and giggles.  She’s a mess!

Noelle loves going to "Deep in the Heart of Texas" library days.  Today was all about space.  She’s coloring in the lines and I have to say, I’m impressed!  She’s almost writing her name – stay tuned!

Well guys, the fight is over and Noelle has won.  From here on out, you will see lots of mismatched and out of season clothes.  Noelle is officially dressing herself.  

Noelle has entered the world of beanie babies!  I collected them growing up and am so glad I now have them for the girls to play with.  Noelle puts all of the bears, birds, dogs, cats, reptiles, monkeys, insects, etc. together in separate categories, and she’s really learned a lot about animals.  We talk about how the animals are alike and different and go look up the "real" animals on google images.  Her favorite to learn about so far was the parrot.  We talked extensively about their colors and the fact that some of them can say a few "human" words — this fascinated Noelle.  I had no idea these silly beanie babies were going to end up being so educational.

I’m ending our trip pictures with a red, white, and blue rose that Aunt Elsie put by the bedsides.  Thank you so much Aunt Elsie, Uncle Andy, Mom, and Dad for making our only vacation during this "work year" possible.  We love you all and had the times of our lives!  It was a joy!
