First Discernable Drawing!

November 30th, 2008

Noelle brought me this receipt and said, "Mommy, I drew you a smiley face!"  I said, "Thank you!" glanced at it, and was about to return to working on the budget, when I saw it… it being the actual smiley face!  I was so proud of her.  I started jumping up and down with her screaming, "You did it!  You did it!  You really did it!"

The circle for the head is by the Target logo, with the big smile, two eyes, and hair!

I always ask Noelle to help me with cards for friends and family because I love what she comes up with, and it really helps her get involved in giving to others.

Celebrating Thanksgiving with Family!

November 29th, 2008

We celebrated with the Pond family on Thanksgiving Day.  Mama Kay Kay treated us to a wonderful Thanksgiving supper after having appetizers and watching the Cowboys!

IMG_2926

We headed to J’ville for a quick overnight trip on Friday (this picture was taken Saturday morning).  We celebrated Thanksgiving with the Banks family Friday lunch.  It was so delicious, Rara!

We loved being in J’ville… it feels like it’s been forever!

One more pic from the Ponds get together.  I love how Noelle has her toys in her ears.  I need to take some more pictures of my growing belly for you to see – it’s unbelievable how large it is getting!

A crazy game of Phase 10 Friday night.  Who knew we’d all get, "Wow, I’m every hippo’s dream!" in our heads this weekend!?!  Thanks for the Madagascar toy, Fancy Nancy!

Noelle helping Jax get excited about his Christmas wardrobe.  Jax is about to be a bona-fide hospital therapy dog, and we are so proud of him and Poppa for all of their hard work.

I love Noelle’s elf ears; she and Jax are so cute!

Thanks to both the Ponds and the Banks for having us over for Thanksgiving!  We enjoyed being with our families so much!

Happy Thanksgiving Surprise!

November 27th, 2008

What are we most thankful for this Thanksgiving?

Two healthy GIRLS!!!  That’s right, we are having another baby GIRL!

After a whirlwind of emotions and sonograms this month, from being told 100% boy to 100% girl, we confirmed yesterday that we are in fact having another baby girl.

All three of us couldn’t be more excited!  We’ve had a name picked out for our 2nd girl (if we would be so lucky to have another) since Noelle’s birth, and we will share that soon!

We give thanks for our precious baby girls!  Thank you Lord for all our blessings!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Noelle was so goofy and fun tonight!  She had such a blast practicing being the flower girl for Jake and Mego’s big day!

The ring bearer’s name is Alex.  Noelle thought he was so cool!

Megan is such an amazing and beautiful bride – I can’t wait for the big day!

Noelle and Alex danced the night away… funny thing is, there was no music at Pappasitos.  They were singing their ABCs and making up songs as they danced together – it was hysterical!

Mommy Crafts!

November 21st, 2008

IMG_2560

Noelle and I made turkeys for all of our grandparents/great grandparents this Thanksgiving.  We used all different colors of scrapbook paper.  Great idea, Michele!

These were our crafts this month in my Mom’s group.  The one on the left is my flower arrangement in a candle top from this week’s meeting, and we made the pumpkin on the right a couple of weeks ago.  The pumpkin is a roll of toilet paper with a piece of fabric folded into the hole at the top.  We collected leftover pumpkin stems from the pumpkin patch and added leaves and acorns.  The turned out really cute!

Happy Birthday, Rebekah!

We had so much fun celebrating Bekah’s birthday this weekend.  We started out doing such a fun scavenger hunt at the mall!  Definitely a b-day idea to remember!

Bekah Boo’s an official teenager!  I can’t believe you are already 13!

"Happy Birthday, dear Bekah…" sings Noelle.

Although Noelle wasn’t feeling too well, she still cracked herself up as usual.  Mike said he was sorry he couldn’t make it (he was sick sick).

Bekah, we love living so close to you guys and sharing memories like your 13th birthday with you.  You are such a great friend, and we love you so much!!!  Happy Birthday, sweet girl!

Ahh… memories!

Clarissa, thanks for visiting Texas.  You were such a trooper (living with a 2 year old)!  Please come back and see us soon!  🙂
