Pumpkin Patch with Bailey
October 30th, 2008
We went to the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch with Bailey on Monday and had SO much fun! It’s been way too long since we’ve seen our buddies (Mommy missed Amanda too)!
Noelle giving the froggy a kiss, and Bailey showing Noelle the way to the teepee!
It was chilly today, but I could barely talk Noelle into wearing a jacket!
Our cute scarecrows!
Cut-outs are apparently a big deal to Noelle this year. She is at the age where she thinks they are fascinating. She couldn’t believe all her friendzies were there!
She said, "I can’t wait to show Daddy Ariel in my picture!"
Last stop of the day, Noelle’s favorite, Hello Kitty!!!
The Best Fall Festival Ever!
October 29th, 2008
Jamie & Noelle wanted to be ladybugs together this year, and Sam & Jillian are Darth Vader & Princess Leia.
Leia and the ladybugs! These poses are just too funny!
Noelle’s first face painting – I couldn’t believe she did it. Up until this point, she has been deathly afraid of face painting!
Are you really Jillian? Okay, that’s you!
Lindsay, her husband Mike (her right), and her brother Andy performed while everyone ate at the hotdog supper. It was so festive, and they are amazing singers!
Tired Mommy Mo (haha) and Noelle bug after going down the big slide behind us!
Dancing to the great music while the parents finish eating.
The ladybug and the Pond. The photographer for the evening dressed up as a Pond. Isn’t she so cool looking!?! Noelle was a little scared!
Fun fun Bible Lane Passport time – Upstairs they had several scenes with Bible stories and activities for the little kids. In every room, they listened to a story, had an activity, got 3 pieces of candy and one big treat. Each child had a Bible Passport with all the stories in the passport. They got a stamp in the book after completing each room/story. Noelle got to go fish downstairs and then started the Bible adventure. This is the room of Jesus’ birth. After the story, they got to feel the hay in the manger and go to a big pile of hay in the corner, and pull out a prize.
This was Daniel in the Lion’s Den story – the activity was throwing a bean bag in the basket to make the lion’s mouth close.
The room on the left was The Parting of the Red Sea. After the story, the teachers threw fish through the streamers and the kids turned them in for their treats and prizes.
This room was the story of the Good Samaritan. The activity was putting band-aids on the hurt man to do our part to help him. Noelle walked up to his head with this concerned look on her face and said, "Feel better, okay?" The pink band-aid on his head is Noelle’s.
The kids got to see him all well before they left. I couldn’t believe how much the kids were getting into the stories and activities – it was amazing!
This is the story of how baby Moses is saved. Noelle was infatuated with what a "reed" was. Now she knows! She’s been talking about reeds all week; this grassy scene really made an impression on her!
The last story was Jonah and the Big Fish. They had little bean bags in the shape of a person (Jonah) and after the story, the kids got to throw the bean bags (Jonah) in the whale.
Noelle saying, "I want to be Jonah!"
After the stories, the kids got to do one more bounce house, and they loved it!
Noelle screaming and having the time of her little life!
Thank you South Oaks Baptist Church for coming together as a giving body of Christ to host such a wonderful night for your neighbors and friends!
The Peters’ Halloween Party
October 28th, 2008
Our little Lady Bug and Pumpkin were ready for the party!
Bekah spent the night with us this weekend, and we had a blast!
We headed west to the Peters’ house for the evening, and Noelle insisted on glasses.
Tonight was a costume party but this is as close as Mike & I are going to get to dressing up… maybe some day we’ll go for it. Hey, we did do the nativity scene last Christmas – that was a big deal (and all for you Rara)!
Our little fam got spider web and bat tattoos from Freaky Fun Day at Old Navy this morning. Bekah talked Mike into putting the bat on the top of his head – pretty creepy! Noelle, Bekah, and I all got webbed for the evening.
Phillip, Anna, & Noelle!
What a festive table. Everything was so delicious.
Kid craft time (Noelle’s favorite thing)!
Noelle’s pumpkin is on the right… she got busy and even painted the stem. She loves to cover every part of whatever she is painting be it paper, canvas, or objects.
The Mummy wrap game – GO TEAM M&M!
Noelle’s Special Tea Party!
October 26th, 2008
We’ve been practicing all week for Noelle to host a tea party for Aunt Joe Joe and Uncle Jim. She’s had so much fun planning the menu and practicing her serving skills.
Aunt Joe & Uncle Jim made a quick trip through Arlington Saturday, and Noelle loved every minute of their visit! She loved hosting the "real" tea party, and we all had a blast being together.
Noelle’s crafts of the week!
Pumpkins, Tractors, Hay Bales, and Fun!
October 26th, 2008
Noelle’s first experience with pumpkins on the vine was really funny! She was calling them "stinky" and making awful noises. She’s so silly!
Someone’s dying to get away from the "stinky" pumpkins.
Friday night we had a blast with the Sheffields at a newly found pumpkin patch in Grapevine. The kids played and played and once it got dark, we went on the best hayride ever!
Zane & Noelle are so cute together!!!
This is my favorite picture of the night!
Bekah Boo is helping me with this post and made me post these pictures!
Tractor time!
Funny kiddos!
Mommy Alison and Melissa with our farmers (This caption was Bekah’s contribution)! 🙂
