Date night – Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Mike and I in front of the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.
Kissy, kissy!
Michele and I in the Cuervo club eating before the game.
Thanks to Mike’s company, Texas Power, we enjoyed the game from 15 rows behind home plate.
Mike and I trying out our lenses – pretty cool, huh? This pic was taken with the telephoto lens.
The beautiful ballpark from behind home plate looking into center field. I always feel patriotic at the balllpark – we live in such a wonderful diverse country, and regardless of all of today’s pressing issues, we have so much to be thankful for.
On a lighter note, we all had a little too much fun with the chatter bats!
We had such a great date night!
Hats off to Baylor…

Baylor is such a good therapy dog! She visits hospitals and cheers up the patients – we are so proud of Baylor. Her most recent achievement was completing “Camp Jacksonville” with Rosie and Poppa Doc while the Eberts were on vacation. GO BAYLOR!!!

Noelle and Rara
Baylor, the Ebert’s dog, came for a visit this weekend.
When we made Noelle stop cornering her, she got up and started banging on the top of her kennel. I hope Baylor will want to come back!
Friday with my girlfriends!

We went to Keller today to play with Maggie and Mollie Grace and see their brand new house!
The girls had so much fun getting all of Maggie’s toys out!
Noelle checks out the new baby in town…
Maggie and Noelle had ham and cheese, pasta salad, and fruit for lunch! Thanks Mommy Mer!
Maggie’s flower room is so cool!
Thanks girls for such a fun play date. You are great friends!!!

We ate lunch with Daddy, went outside on the back porch and read Miss Manners and God Gives You Friends, and then came back inside to fold laundry and watch an episode of Teletubbies. That’s when it happened. During the intro song, you busted out clapping. You have never done this before. These weren’t just any old claps, they were loud and animated. You held your hands up high in the air and gave it all you got. I’ve never seen you so proud of yourself. Hats off to you for learning how to clap, but most importantly, for enthusiastically loving life – your joy is contagious! Your discoveries are endless and my chores are mundane no more!
P.S. You also fed yourself peaches with a spoon all by yourself… dip to mouth, over and over – WOW!
And she’s out!

One of our nap times this week – this picture was not posed. I love going to check on her when she’s sleeping – she’s always full of cute surprises. John gave her a Shrek doll last weekend, and it burps when you press the chest. Noelle was just waking up from her nap on Tuesday, and while she was still groggy, she kept pressing the button and giggling – too funny! We are going to have to read our Miss Manners book every day now… thanks John!
